Your next chapter

A clearer path through math.

Choose a place to begin. Each path connects essential ideas, worked examples, and practice you can explain in your own words.

01 · Grades 1–6

Build your foundations

Make numbers meaningful with objects, pictures, and everyday questions. Move from counting and place value to fractions, measurement, and the first steps of algebra, with time to explain how each answer works.

Explore this path

02 · Grades 7–8

Connect numbers to ideas

Use fractions, ratios, and signed numbers to describe real situations. Then connect equations, graphs, geometry, and data so you can choose a method and explain what the result means.

Explore this path

03 · Grades 9–12

Develop confident reasoning

Bring algebra, geometry, and functions together to tackle richer problems. Develop trigonometric reasoning, interpret statistical evidence, and explore the rates and accumulation that lead into calculus.

Explore this path

04 · Undergraduate & graduate

Explore deeper mathematics

Learn to state assumptions, build arguments, and connect abstract ideas to useful models. Explore selected topics in linear algebra, analysis, probability, geometry, and fluid mathematics through focused worked examples.

Grade labels are guides. School sequences vary; each lesson explains the background you need.

A living idea beats a memorized rule

Don’t just look at the graph.
Make it move.

Move the slider to change the rise of a road. Watch the graph, slope, and percent grade change together. Predict what happens first, then test your idea.

Explore 100 animations per grade from counting and fractions to calculus, matrices, probability, Fourier waves, and fluid flow. Play, pause, change a value, and follow the explanation behind the motion.

A useful study routine

Know what to do at every step.

You do not have to rush. A good lesson ends with understanding the reasoning, not just finding a number that matches the answer.

  1. 01

    Find your starting point

Choose a grade or subject, then read the prerequisites. Start with an idea you almost understand. You can revisit earlier lessons whenever you need a stronger foundation.

  2. 02

    Understand the reasoning

Read the question and predict an answer before calculating. Follow the worked example one step at a time, noticing why each operation makes sense and which assumptions it uses.

  3. 03

    Practice. Explain. Keep going.

Try the two practice questions on paper before opening a hint. Compare your reasoning with the explained answer, then mark the lesson complete when you can explain the idea yourself.

Why do bridges need triangles?

Shapes are more than drawings. Explore how geometry describes space, supports a model, and helps you explain a design.

The person behind the academy

Hi, I’m Amar.
Let’s make the steps make sense.

I’m a mathematics teacher with an engineering background. Math With Amar connects classroom ideas to questions you can picture: the slope of a road, the space inside a shape, or the way a quantity changes.

The academy gives you a place to explore independently. When a learner needs individual support, parents and adult learners can ask about online tutoring in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus.

Take the next lesson with you.

Open the academy on your phone, add it to your home screen, and make room for a little learning in your day. Follow the installation guide for the web app and current Android preview.

Before you begin

A few helpful answers.

Learning should feel welcoming. Here is how the academy works and where to find the support you need.

Where should I begin?

Choose your current grade or a subject you want to revisit. Grade labels are guides, because school sequences vary around the world. Read the prerequisites first; if the first worked example feels unfamiliar, start one level earlier. University lessons introduce selected topics and assume the background listed on each page.

What is free?

The learning library, dictionary, visual experiments, and sample practice are free to explore without an account. Individual tutoring is a separate service. Parents and adult learners can ask about availability and pricing before making a booking.

Will my progress be saved?

You can mark lessons complete and return to your last lesson on the same browser. That record stays on your device and does not sync between devices. Clearing browser data removes it. The separate native app also keeps its own local study record.

Can I learn on my phone?

Yes. The website adapts to a phone screen and can be added to your home screen. The browser app needs a connection for the full library and includes a small offline practice pack. The Android preview bundles the full lesson library; see Get the app for the current installation options.

How can a parent or teacher use the academy?

Choose one lesson, read the question aloud, and give the learner time to explain their thinking. Use objects or sketches before symbols when helpful. Ask what changed, why a method works, and how to check the answer. The lesson is a starting point for discussion, not a timed test or a claim of curriculum accreditation.
